the lab was in full chaos.

theres jayce sat at the desk who is struggling with an equation that he can’t solve for a new invention, and then viktor is standing next to the chalkboard, literally solving the same problem.

“this is actually unsolvable.” he muttered, the frustration in his body growing by the second. he was gripping the pencil so tightly that it could snap in his hands any minute now.

viktor glanced over at jayce, noticing his disappointment and he let out his own sigh. “you have to add the velocities together.” he chimed in, trying to see what the piece of paper in front of jayce said from afar.

jayce turned his head to where viktor was standing, noticing the solved equation written on the chalkboard. that caused him to let out a small huff of air, shaking his head before bringing his gaze to the sheet of paper sprawled out on the desk. “my god.” he grumbled to himself, erasing part of the equation.

he could hear a sudden chuckle from viktor, shaking his own head as he turned his own body back at the chalkboard. “you should’ve known that by now, jayce.” he mocked, starting to write down more equations on the board as the sound of the chalk scraping the board filled the room.

jayce couldn't help but laugh at viktor's teasing, knowing he was smart enough to know something that simple. “i know, now shut it.” he barked back playfully, a small smile on his face while he wrote numbers down on the paper.

another small chuckle has escaped viktor's mouth, trying to hide his smile by rubbing his hand down his face. viktor often teased jayce whenever he had forgotten such a small part in an equation, knowing it gets on his nerves sometimes.

after a while, the sound of viktor letting out a small sigh fills the room, with him placing the piece of chalk on the nearby desk as he spoke. "right, well i will be leaving now." he called out to jayce, making his way to the exit with the help of his cane.

at the sound of viktor's voice, jayce turned around in the chair to see him leaving, a small teasing smile on his face. "i still can't believe you're actually going home for the night." he stated, watching him leave.

viktor shrugged his shoulders, glancing back at jayce with a small smile. “goodnight, jayce.” he called out to him, making it towards the door.

jayce’s smile has widened slightly, leaning his back against the chair he was on as he gazed at him exit the lab. “goodnight.” he said in return, a small breath escaping his lips.

now the lab was empty around jayce, the silence filling the room as he let out another small breath of air. he turned around in his chair and started to work on that equation again on the paper in front of him.

these moments alone made jayce calm down, the soft sounds of the lab roaming around his sight. it made him think about his life and how far he came with hextech. he was proud, which is what others would say.

as the minutes went by, jayce started to think about a certain someone, and that person was you. he missed you, a lot more than he could admit out loud. since the both of you were in a secret relationship, you two had to be careful in public areas.

"jayce?" you suddenly called out to him, your body at the entrance as you observed him at the desk of the lab room.

the sound of your voice made jayce flinch out of shock a bit, shifting his body back around in the chair to face you standing at the door. his eyes widened scarcely at the sight of you, not expecting you to just show up at the lab out of nowhere.

“what are you doing here?” he asked out of shock and as well as slight irritation. he rose from the chair and started to walk towards you. “you know you're not supposed to be here unless you want to get caught-”

“i know, now shut up.” you cut him off, meeting him halfway and bringing a hand to the back of his head, tugging him down and colliding your lips into his.

the sudden kiss initiated by you caught him by surprise, a tiny gasp escaping his lips before he fully melted into your touch, moving his mouth against your own passionately and without hesitation.

the kiss was anything but neat, the smacking of lips filling the room as well as the soft sounds the both of you were making. his hands were gripping your waist, probably gonna leave a remote bruise later but that was the least of his worries.

your free hand went to wrap around his torso, pulling him closer as one hand held onto the back of his jacket, and the other onto his hair. you felt like you were in heaven from jayce’s touch, a soft sound of pleasure from you entering his mouth.

after a while, you pulled away from jayce’s lips, resting your forehead against his own as you tried to catch your breath. you kept your eyes shut for a second, feeling your heart racing in your chest the moment you opened your eyes and gazed into jayce’s.

the two stared at each other for a moment, trying to process what just happened. “sorry,” you started off, your voice breathless and hushed. “i wanted to do that for a while.” you confessed, a small awkward smile tugging onto your lips.

jayce couldn't help but laugh at your words, the sound soft and filled with delight. “it's okay y/n.” he told you quietly, his thumb stroking your waist gently.

you listened to his reply, nodding at them as you gazed into his eyes lovingly. you can notice all of the details of his face, his tan skin, the shine in his light brown eyes, and the small gap in his teeth that you adored.

after a few moments, you heard Jayce's voice break the silence.. "did anyone see you?" he asked, staring into your eyes as he kept his forehead pressed against your own.

you instantly shook your head in response to him, feeling his breath against your lips as you spoke to him. “no.” you murmured, your gaze flickering between his eyes and lips.

you could feel jayce let out a sigh of relief, closing his eyes for a moment. “thank god.” he mumbled, leaning forward once more and crashing his lips against yours.

at the sudden feeling of his lips on yours, a small groan escaped your mouth and entered his, immediately moving your lips back against his in a desperate and messy kiss. the both of you knew you two needed this, from the stress of jayce’s work and the mess piltover was at the moment.

while the two kept kissing, jayce’s hand slid down from your waist to under your thighs, lifting you up in his grasp before he started to carry you toward the lab table. once he got there, he placed you down to sit at the edge, his lips still locked on yours in a passionate kiss.

the sudden lift of your body has taken you aback, but you adapted to it while jayce sat you down on the table. your legs wrapped around his body, pulling him closer until your bodies had no space at all.

it took a few minutes for the kiss to end, but jayce kept his lips moving towards your jaw and down your neck, creating a small path of hot and wet kisses. the feeling of his lips on your neck made your head hang back, loving the sensation of his actions.

“i forgot how good you were at this.” you mumbled to him, your breathing a bit ragged as you felt the pleasure of his lips on you. your hand stayed in his hair, raking your fingers through the black strands as you let him do his work.

jayce couldnt help but let out a small chuckle against your neck, the sound rumbling through his throughout. “you did, huh?” he breathed out, his tongue darting out to coat your skin.

your lips parted as a small gasp escaped your mouth, trying so hard not to make any sounds that would be noticeable from outside of the lab. “uh huh.” you let out, your hand on the back of jayce's head tugged it back so you can lean in and press your lips back to his.

he immediately obliged your actions, a small groan fleeing from his mouth while his lips moved against yours frantically and full of heat. one hand that was on your thigh started to trail up your his, gently stroking your breast before cupping your cheek, a shaky breath escaping his mouth and entering yours.

you could feel his hands travel up your body, a shiver going through your spine at his touch. as the kiss continued, your mind went to other places, like how you just wanted to take off his clothes and-

“jayce, is my notebook still in-” the sound of viktor's voice cut through the moment, causing the both of you to pull away quickly and glance over to see him staring at the two of you in shock.

your eyes widened at the sudden presence of viktor, your hands still holding onto jayce’s body and your legs wrapped around him. you could tell that the both of you were in a slight panic at the fact that you two were caught by him, froze in the same position as before

viktor stood there for a moment, trying to process what he just witnessed in front of him. “i-i’m gonna come back later.” he said in a hurry, quickly turning around to exit the lab, closing the door behind himself with a loud slam.

now it was just you and jayce left alone again, your gaze still pointed at the closed door as you realized what just occurred. “do you think he's gonna tell anyone?” you asked jayce, your voice breathless and slightly nerve.

at the sound of your voice, jayce turned his head back to face you, noticing the slight distress on your face from getting caught. he shook his head at your question, a small shaky breath leaving his lips. “no, he’s not the type to do that.” he answered, his hands sliding back down to your waist

you nodded at his words weakly, a small smile tugging at your lips. “oh my god.” you mumbled, leaning your head against his shoulder.

jayce couldnt help but laugh at your words, leaning into your touch while his hands started to caress your waist gently. “did you forget to lock the door?” he asked suddenly, a wide smile on his face as he stared down at you.

“i wasn't thinking about that!” you defended yourself, leaning back to stared up at him in return, a small laugh leaving your mouth.

another laugh escaped jayce, shaking his head while he stared down at you with adoration in his eyes. “of course you weren't.” he mumbled to you jokingly, placing a chaste kiss to your forehead before resting his cheek on the top of your head.

a small giggle left your lips, leaning into his touch while you closed your eyes, enjoying the peaceful moment with just the two of you. you both knew that you would have to talk to viktor later, but you didn't wanna worry about that right now, not at all.

He felt like he failed you, and deep down he knew what was causing your grievances, but he was also stubborn and selfish in his own ways.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who argued with you about the same things over and over again. It always starts with you expressing concern about his lifestyle and the crowd of people he hung out with. You weren’t trying to control or dictate him, but his self-destructive behavior always seems to be exacerbated and encouraged by his so-called friends. You were worried about him. The only people that seemed to try to keep him in check was his family and his best friend Uraume.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who walks away, leaving you a sobbing mess in the apartment after one particular nasty argument. Even though he didn't explicitly say he wanted to break up this time, the words said during this argument was hard to come back from, and his choice to walk away instead of addressing the issue time after time, inherently put things into perspective. This time, things seemed rather final, and his intuition was correct as he finds his belongings all packed up in a box the very next day.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who doesn't say much at the sight of his boxed up belongings. There were no questions, no fight, no protest, not a single word. He quietly takes the box, accepting the reality of the situation, throws your spare keys on the dining table, and leaves without sparing you another glance - like the past four years meant nothing, like you meant nothing.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who was working out at the gym after he dropped his stuff back at his own place. He forgot to bring his headphones and had to listen to the much dreaded gym music. "Baby Come Back" was on blast and he nearly wanted to throw his weights into the mirror. Needless to say, he added that song to his playlist the same night.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who found himself in front of Yorozu's door three weeks later. Yes, this wasn't the best idea, but the two of you had broken up. He no longer had to justify his actions with you. Besides, he just needed to blow off some steam, and he didn't know who else to go to that would have openly accepted his current predicament.

ex/boyfriend!sukuna - who knew he majorly fucked up when you called him at 2:30 AM, drunk and sobbing hysterically, while he was still over at Yorozu’s. As he’s scrambling to get dressed to come pick you up, he’s praying to all the gods out there that you will never find out about this. He swears on his life that this was going to be the last time he had ever sought Yorozu out for favors again.

a/n: ahh, I've been enjoying making hc's for this au, it's a nice little break from my other projects right now. Just something fun and lighthearted that doesn’t require a lot of time and editing. And I do enjoy writing hc's because I treat them as little lores and ideas for potential one shots that I can go back on. If I start expanding a lot on this au, I may have to come up with a series name. The events in this hc all happen prior to ‘Warm on a Cold Night’.

A/N: I decided to do headconons instead of a oneshot🧡 I myself have ADHD, but I’ve not yet been in a relationship with someone who also have ADHD, so I’m not sure how that actually would work. So this is more of a quess of how that might be able to work. Hope you’ll enjoy🧡

Warnings: ADHD, trying to be explained by a person with ADHD heh. Kinda hard to do.

You and Mikey called it a match made in heaven. The two of you understood everything the other one was going through. Every moment of forgetfulness, every moment of spacing out, sudden moments of energy spikes and energy drops, the sudden paralyzation that caused either one or both of you to be bedridden, hours on end, feeling like you were stuck in this big black hole with no way out… Only to suddenly perk up, having been watched over with some sort of inspiration, before running off to do whatever you had been inspired to do.

If you asked Mikey’s family, they considered you a gift to the world. You did so much to help Mikey in his everyday life, teaching him some of the hacks you had learned, in order to get through your own challenges. Many of them worked like a charm, while others took a little more time to perfect. But nonetheless, you were a big help to Mikey and his brothers, and they couldn’t be happier that he had found someone like you.

There was no doubt in anybody’s minds that Mikey was just as ADHD as you. So it was very nice and calming and relieving for Mikey, to finally learn how his head was working, and to learn it from a person who had been struggling with the same exact thing.

But as much as Mikey’s brothers were happy that you were there, to help their brother understand how his own head worked, there were times where yours and Mikey’s hyperactivity seemed to build on each other, and those days could quickly become unbearable for them, if you and Mikey wasn’t given some sort of space to let it out. That would usually be the dojo or Mikey’s own bedroom. At times you would even go to your place.

You and Mikey would sometimes stim together. Vocal stimming being one of the biggest ones. It wasn’t uncommon to hear you and Mikey communicate in small sounds, either spoken next to each other, or just being yelled from across the room, with no other reason than to hear where the other person was, or to get a vibe check. It was kinda cute, even if the people around you that would be witness to it, might get very confused.

I admit I struggle with sexual liberation reading in new Nosferatu, but not because of morals. I have no problem with that narrative in other vampire movies, books and TV shows. I just don't understand how it works in the remake?? But people are so sure it works in the remake.

Well, yeah, I actually can understand the criticism about that bit, if you subscribe to this whole "liberation" take. As criticism not about intention, but about execution. Because if we approach it solely from execution pov and especially in comparison with other vampire media  since you brought that up, then some questions inevitably arise. Namely, about the inner building of respective universe of vampire media when it deals with any themes of liberation via vampires. Almost every media which deals with such themes establishes that this so-called liberation is not only limited to "sex with vampires goes brrr", but there are other dimensions vampires can offer to humans as part of this so-called liberation. In  Interview with Vampire TV series (2022-) it’s directly and clearly established the rules that vampire Lestat can turn people into vampires, he wants to turn and turns Lois and they can co-exist as vampire couple for centuries, can travel, can see different countries and cultures through the ages, that Lois as a simply mortal human would never be able to see otherwise. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series (1997-2003), it is also directly and clearly established the rules that vampires can turn other people into vampires, we get to see vampire squad-couples of Angel/Darla, Spike/Drusilla hanging out all over the world through different time periods, while in relation to Buffy, who is superpowered human-slayer relationships with vampires are less about liberation, and more about  beneficial  equal relationships cause she gets someone on her physical level and abilities, understands her and her job, and she co-works with her vampires boyfriends during her slaying. In Dracula movies, which  deal with anything like this the rules are also clearly spelled out. In Dracula  (1979) and Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), it’s directly and clearly established the rules that Dracula can turn people into vampires, he wants to turn and almost turns Lucy (who is simply renamed Mina character in 1979 movie) and Mina (in 1992 movie)  into vampires. Both Draculas  have clear dialogue about that and actions in the movies. If transformation of female heroine in each movie was completed they like Lois and Lestat would have co-existed as vampire couples for centuries, would travel, would see different countries and cultures through the ages, that Lucy and Mina as  simply mortal humans would never be able to see otherwise. Plus all that abovementioned media establishes vampire’s powers and limits and so what powers they can give to their human paramours when they turn them in one of their kind. Vampire media also dealt with some forms of liberation via vampires from other points, not necessary sexual ones. In Let the Right One In (2008)  the major theme is that vampire Eli teaches human boy Oskar to stand up for himself and gives him  some companionship, so their relationships are darkly liberating in whole another way, to certain degree, of course.  So long, so forth. Multiple other examples across different vampire media, where vampires did have something to offer to the humans.

While Nosferatu remake doesn’t have clearly in-built rules in its own universe to explore the whole "liberation angle", if you approach movie from it. There’s no direct plot framing of what exactly Orlok intended to do to Ellen, apart from feeding on her and some form of vampire sex. There’s no clear-cut plot point that he was going to make her into vampire. For example,  even in Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) remake, Nosferatu was able to turn people into vampires and he wanted to turn Ellen (renamed into Lucy) into his vampire companion, that was clear. 2024 remake  also doesn’t establish what other possible options were on the table, if turning Ellen into vampire wasn’t really one of them. It seems that apart from consuming Ellen’s blood which inevitably would have led to Ellen’s regular death anyway, nothing else was going on. So that’s understandable why people may  scratch their heads and go “ok, ok, sexual liberation via vampire is cool and all, yes, but also, how and that's it?” Not in some morality pearl-clutching way, but "the plot really doesn't elaborate much" way.

Hey I'm writing a Wild Kratts x Avatar the last Airbender fanfic and a lot of inspo for Chris and Martins relationship comes from your guardian au! I was wondering if you had any things to keep in mind when writing them or little things about their relationship in your own au that I can steal lol

Well in guardianship AU specifically their dynamic is a little different from canon because their personalities are a little different too (stemming from the fact that their parents died and Martin has been raising Chris)

In guardianship AU, Martin is a lot more mature because he HAD to be. He frets over every little detail when it comes to Chris because not only is he worried about keeping custody of him, but also wants to ensure that Chris has as normal and healthy of a childhood as possible. He wants Chris to be able to be a kid for as long as possible, because Martin was robbed of that the moment their parents died. He's also very self conscious about his qualifications to be raising Chris. He's worried that he's not doing a good job, and Chris would be better off under someone else's care, and Martin sometimes thinks of himself as selfish for not being willing to give up custody even if it would be "better" for Chris.

Chris on the other hand, is not as naive as Martin likes to think. He knows about their struggles despite how hard Martin tries to hide them. He thinks of himself as mature and desperately wishes people would treat him like it. He sees Martin struggle for years after their parent's death, and wants nothing more than to help somehow, but Martin would never let him. So he gets angry and lashes out sometimes because of the restrictions Chris feels he's under. He's very aware that he can be a handful. He also believes that Martin would be doing far better in life if he had just given up custody. Chris is too scared Martin would go through with it if he ever mentioned it though. So they never talk about it. All Chris wants is Martin to be happy, he just doesn't realize he already brings that in Martin's life.

Basically they don't confide in each other like in canon. Mostly because of the age difference and the fact that Martin is in a parental role for Chris. They're not as close with open communication. They still care about each other more than anything, but with Martin's feelings of inferiority, and Chris' insecurities, they both assume the other would be better off without them. And those unspoken fears causes a lot of tension.

Of course they will work it out when Chris gets a bit older and is able to express himself properly, and Martin will feel less obligated to shield him from everything... but for now that's about how it is

Since I have the pictures ready now, I guess I could explain the Skeletwins version of Horrortale. Or, as I call it, Not-Quite-Horrortale.

So the story starts off as the same as Horrortale. Undyne becomes the Empress, the CORE breaks down, Alphys convinces Undyne to take Sans' eye (to my knowledge - I haven't read the comic), and of course, Undyne takes Sans' eye and leaves him with a gaping hole in his head and uses it to power the CORE.

However, here, there's a divergence. And that divergence is during Sans' confrontation with Alphys.

As far as I know, in the original story (which I have mixed feelings about, honestly), Sans destroys the CORE, takes back his eye and "lobotomises" Alphys (not a fan of that term). But here, Lento/Sans doesn't do that. He does lose his temper with her, but the most he does is destroy one of her machines or just a little bit of the CORE. It's not enough for it to be unrepairable, but it's enough to set the monsters back a bit. But he doesn't hurt Alphys, not physically. He basically lashes out at her, declares their friendship over and leaves, therefore giving Alphys a much bigger role in this version. Also, the famine does eventually get resolved because Sans doesn't destroy the CORE.

So the timeline diverged there. Now the story has two plots. One of them focuses on Alphys and Undyne, their relationship and their struggle trying to fix a broken kingdom, all while struggling with their internal conflicts and heavy guilt for everything they have done and will have to do. The other will focus on the twins, of course.

I don't have it all figured out, but I have this outline of getting Papyrus more involved in the story. After the incident, Sans and Papyrus continue to try and help Snowdin as best as they can, but Sans' head injury and resulting instability causes a lot of issues, which eventually culminates with him isolating himself to protect others from him in one of his more lucid moments. Papyrus, meanwhile, figures out what Undyne did to him and repeatedly confronts her, angry but at the same time desperate to convince her to stop doing whatever she's doing and hold on to their friendship. Of course, Papyrus doesn't want to give up on Undyne, because he's, well, Papyrus. But after a series of confrontations, Undyne snaps and outright attacks Papyrus, which inadvertently reveals that he also had the same energy Sans had in his eye. After that, Papyrus just... leaves and returns to Snowdin to focus on Sans and his town.

Meanwhile, Sans goes back and forth between talking to Toriel and isolating himself at home with Papyrus, only rarely appearing at Grillby's. One day, Toriel notices the toll his isolation and mental health problems are having on Sans and, relating heavily to this, invites him into the Ruins for a visit. One visit turns into two, then three, then ten... And eventually, Papyrus starts visiting her too. They bring her books from the library and talk about their lives, and Toriel teaches them about snails and talks about her past, and eventually, the three of them become a small family. It's not perfect, of course. They have their ups and downs, and Sans never truly becomes his old self again, but with time, they make it work, and they find happiness from it.

The twins also gain new outfits from Toriel, including a hat to cover Sans' wound! They even requested to have the Delta Rune on their clothes, so they kinda have their cute little family logo.

By the time Aliza falls down, Toriel and the twins are doing well for themselves, being each other's support systems. Over time, Sans becomes stable enough to help Snowdin again. Toriel invites the boys to live with her full-time but they refuse, not willing to just abandon Snowdin. Sans never fully forgives Alphys, but he makes peace with what happened, and Papyrus still doesn't want to give up on Undyne because he's Papyrus and Papyrus is awesome.

(Also, side note: I kinda see this running gag of Sans using his head hole for practical jokes after making peace with it. Like using himself as a teapot, or using it for storage, or even growing a flower inside his head. Leave it to him to see the funny side of things.)

When Aliza falls down, of course Toriel takes her in! But like all children, Aliza wants to go home. Toriel doesn't trust the rest of the underground (for very, VERY good reasons. Human sentiment quickly decreased and devolved into outright hatred during Undyne's reign, so the monsters would be a lot more aggressive and desperate to escape) so she calls upon the two monsters she can still trust, the twins, to personally take her to the barrier. Thus begins Not-So-Horrortale, where the twins basically join Aliza and help her out with silliness and horror all in one.

Ideas everywhere. Hehe. So, what do you think? Could you give me suggestions for Undyne and Alphys' part of the story? Could this possibly become its own thing entirely? Who knows? Have a wonderful life!

This came back to me again, probably because I had the thought that maybe this idea could work in Cyberverse’s setup?

I mean for starters we know that Megatron and Optimus used to be friends here until Optimus decided he didn’t like how Megatron was taking the Decepticons. So it works on that front

But also more so because in Season 3, the war ends and the Autobots and Decepticons are both on Cybertron. And while they’re divided by a wall, people jump that thing all the time anyways. Not to mention the Quintesson invasion had Autobots and Decepticons teaming up and forming friendships with one another

So you’re primed for some characters on both sides getting together and having those cross-faction kids, or possibly also bots feeling they can make their relationships known as well as their secret children now that the war’s over. So this setup of Megatron not being able to say shit can very much happen

Though I’m also not sure how the kid themself factors in. I guess we assume they stayed on Cybertron, but how does their presence cause trouble now?

Maybe with the AllSpark being restored and all, they choose to move to the big cities on one of either side. Possibly also with the war over and Megatron’s universe hopping made him think “hmm, maybe I should look into that kid of mine again, see what they’re up to”. Maybe he saw them in other universes, I don’t know

I guess if we want to keep the Megatron struggle, he looks into them, only to find they’re on the Autobot side of Cybertron, and he’s also not really sure about making this knowledge of his secret kid known to anyone else, so he’s just got to accept this. And possibly also like stated in the original, Optimus meets them and the two start getting along, all the while they have no clue their connection because Megs telling the Decepticons is one thing, but telling Optimus after all this time is another thing entirely

So I just feel like sharing this other idea that’s been rattling through my brain, and blaming it on late night madness (even though it’s not, but telling myself that makes me feel a little better)

Anyways, so basically the whole concept stemmed from the idea of cross-faction ships having kids, secret or otherwise, and them being worried what Megatron might do when he finds out, only for Megatron to literally be unable to say shit about it because he too has a cross-faction secret kid that he’s not told anyone about

So uh, yeah. That’s the idea. Secret megop kid that was born presumably shortly after the war started out and the two had their divorce

Not really that different in overall concept from that skystar kid idea I had that one time. Well sort of, but whatever

Megatron definitely knows about the kid but I’m not sure Optimus does. I’m leaning on no for comedy purposes. Basically Megatron had the kid, and for one reason or another (whether it be he didn’t want to raise a kid, didn’t want to raise Optimus’ kid, didn’t want someone to exploit this potential weakness, didn’t want the kid involved in the Decepticons or war, or a mix of some or all), basically just yeeted the kid out of there as soon as possible. The Decepticons either never knew or it’s been so long they forgot about it or something

Don’t know what they’re doing now, but there just is a child of the leaders of the Autobot and Decepticon factions just running around, and no one knows

The main way I can see comedy/trouble brewing in this scenario is them deciding to join the Autobots and working with Optimus Prime’s team. So like, Megatron knows the kid is there, but can’t say that he knows them or how, or why he’s particularly concerned with this random Autobot’s well-being. Another layer to the situation would be if Optimus doesn’t know the kid is his, but they get along great and Optimus is like “you know this bot is like the son I never had” and the kid is like “wow Optimus is like the dad I never had”, all the while being unaware

Though I’m also debating the idea that Megatron also wouldn’t recognize the kid, since it’s presumably been millions of years since they last saw each other. He just knows he and Optimus have a kid somewhere. Though then the situation might become less comedy and more angst if he attacks the kid and only realizes afterwards that it’s his and he didn’t recognize them. Or maybe you could keep the comedy by having him too just be unaware when the kid is right next to him, potentially just in an alternate scenario where the kid joins the Decepticons instead

And yeah, I think that’s about it. One of these days I’m gonna have to actually make one of these fankids. I just have to figure out how to combine designs and such, particularly with the helms since the rest I can tweak for alt mode purposes

But how does one combine Megatron and Optimus’ helms in a satisfying way? Hmm

I have a question, but it may be already have been answered in the story (my brain is just not the best with memory).

Since vampirism symbolises for you chronical illness (which, omg, that is a hot take I've never thought off before and love from now on), does Steve count as chronical ill, too, with the whole halfvampire thing going on? So, would his uncontrollable time jumping each month be a symptom of that chronical illness?

not in the story, no worries! Just a possible interpretation and my personal intent when writing.

As a small aside I personally don't like to think of chronic illness as something that people "count" as, so to speak, it's an extremely personal label and incredibly varied between individuals and as with all disability there is never such thing as hard lines or black and white... but I understand why you worded it that way and I understand what you're asking.

So, yes, Steve is also chronically ill within this framework. The entire comic is sort of shaped around this, to be honest! I mean he canonically has some pretty extreme memory issues... He's also canonically homeless (not that this is an illness but I just mean it's something I think most people forget about him when discussing him). And, yes, his condition is uncontrollable and is severely impacting his ability to live the life he wants to live.

He has just been barely coping up to the point we meet him, and has been very desperate which is what led him to creating that list of deviations. He has periods where his body is out of his control, he is unable to form relationships, he hurts others without meaning or wanting to... Yeah. He's metaphorically relating to a lot of things, really.

So, yknow, you're welcome to interpret him as you'd like! for me I relate a lot with my various issues and conditions and thus that's why I've projected on him the way I have, but of course I would understand entirely different interpretations of what is inherently metaphorical.
